By Webster Bank

Webster donates $25,000 to Hartford HealthCARES Colleague Assistance Fund

After introducing its innovative Frontline Heroes financial services program, Webster Bank today announced a special addition to the program for Hartford HealthCareÕs 30,000 employees.

WebsterÕs Frontline Heroes program offers essential healthcare workers and first responders a range of financial benefits, including checking accounts free of a monthly maintenance fee and free checking withdrawals at any ATM through December 2021. In addition, the program provides new customers with the ability to earn a cash incentive as well as discounts on lending and investment services.*

In recognition of their community partnership, Webster Bank will also make a donation of $25,000 to support Hartford HealthCare employees on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation will support the Harford HealthCARES Colleague Assistance Fund, which offers financial and other types of support to Hartford HealthCare employees and their families.

“We have received an incredible response to our Frontline Heroes program, which was launched earlier this month,” said Nitin Mhatre, Webster Executive Vice President and Head of Community Banking. “We are pleased to be able to offer additional financial support to the heroes at Hartford HealthCare who have sacrificed so much of themselves in the fight against COVID-19.”

ÒWeÕre extremely proud of the dedication and determination that Hartford HealthCareÕs colleagues and all frontline workers continue to demonstrate during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Tracy Church, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Hartford HealthCare. ÒWebster BankÕs generous donation to our Colleague Assistance Fund further allows us to help our colleagues when misfortune strikes. This gift is a powerful example of community partnership during a challenging time. WeÕre incredibly grateful.”

Frontline Heroes include any full-time or part-time employee currently in essential healthcare, including hospitals, nursing homes, medical and dental practices, and home healthcare. The program is also available to first responders.
