Webster Bank today announced that Mauricio Duran has joined the Bank as Managing Director, Commercial Real Estate CRE Syndications. In his role, Duran will lead syndication activity for the Bank’s CRE transactions.
Duran has over 20 years of experience in real estate banking and loan syndications. Most recently, he worked as a Managing Director, Institutional Real Estate for CIBC. Previously, he was a Director, Real Estate Syndicated Capital Markets with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, Duran held various roles with TD Bank, EuroHypo AG and Fleet Securities.
“Mauricio brings a valuable depth of experience, sector knowledge, and market relationships to the Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets team. His addition will enable Webster to better serve our real estate clients’ capital needs and further accelerate the Capital Markets team’s growth,” said Garrett Ellsworth, Head of Capital Markets at Webster.

Duran holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University and an MBA from Boston University School of Management.
